Brilliant,
I bought this to replace the kit lens (same, but not VR) which got very fine sand in it, making the zoom rather… gritty. Same great lens, but with VR (useful at 55mm, not at 18mm!) to help with those night shots. If you have to replace your original lens, as I did, then the VR is worth the little extra cost.

|No Nikon warranty,
Another funny one this. My lens was supplied from ChiwawaUK . Very pleased with the lens – just what I wanted, but once again, no Nikon warranty supplied. Lens was in `proper’ Nikon box (not a white box), but no paperwork whatsoever. I contacted ChiwawaUK who were very polite etc etc and sent me a copy of invoice with an added section promising to cover goods for 1 year. But why no Nikon warranty or instruction leaflet (I received this recently when I bought lens from VOOD)?? Seems to be a lot of Nikon lenses around like this at the moment.

|The Lens Isn’t in perfect condition,
I brought this lens for myself after selling the same lens with my old camera. The lens is stiff to use and when focusing makes alot of noise. I know its not supposed to be like this from previously owning the same lens before its also quite slow to focus but no one seems to want to help me.
